POSITION OVERVIEW:

Under the guidance of the Team Manager, the Team Supervisor ensures the overall performance of the team to meet objectives for scorecard metrics and OGSM's related to cost, quality assurance, inventory control, HazMat shipping compliance, and training (ground, air, ocean), safety, sanitation, service, sustainability, organizational health, GMPs, and distribution reliability.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensures overall team performance, including quality, safety, reliability, waste management, and sanitation to achieve business goals.
Proactively fosters continuous improvement and daily problem-solving initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiencies.

Coaches, trains, and ensures adherence to established plant procedures (including work rules, safety, and sanitation guidelines) while demonstrating deep respect for the capabilities of all individuals.

Ensures that all activities comply with documented operating procedures and recommends updates to existing procedures as necessary.
Coordinates and schedules crew vacation requests and overtime.
Identifies needs and conducts training for new and existing employees.
Ensures products meet quality standards and coordinates problem-solving directly with QA floor inspectors.
Addresses minor mechanical and processing issues and makes necessary adjustments to maintain production flow.
Performs job tasks of other team members at equal or lower grades.
Facilitates teamwork and coaching among team members.
Conducts meetings for production tracking, problem-solving, and team development.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Three years of manufacturing and/or industrial experience required.
Demonstrated ability to perform changeovers and preventative maintenance on all production equipment required.
Proven ability to diagnose mechanical issues and resolve minor mechanical and processing problems required.
Demonstrated understanding of the financial impact of business decisions affecting staffing, product components, and inventory required.
Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of Excel, Word, statistical database applications, and Lotus Notes required.
Proven ability to proactively encourage continuous improvement and daily problem-solving initiatives required.
Strong capability to coach, train, and influence while showing deep respect for the capabilities of all individuals required.
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills required.
Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills for risk assessment required.
Ability to work overtime and weekends required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Knowledge of SAP, Infinity, PowerPoint, and Access preferred.
Demonstrated practice of leadership principles required; formal leadership training strongly preferred.
Proven competency to operate all equipment in the business strongly preferred.
Experience effectively leading and facilitating team and cross-functional meetings strongly preferred.
