Job Title: Teacher

International School of Louisiana is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our team. As a Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing a challenging education emphasizing language immersion, international awareness, the celebration of diversity, and community responsibility.

Job Summary:

The Teacher is responsible for creating an educational atmosphere where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and psychological growth. This includes guiding the learning process, implementing instructional activities, and identifying resources to meet the needs of students with varying backgrounds and learning styles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum goals and state standards
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment
  • Participate in professional development activities to stay current with best practices and research in education
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the instructional environment and promote student growth and achievement
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Education or related field
  • Teaching experience and online experience valued
  • Teaching Certificate preferred
  • Target language proficiency where appropriate
  • Strong work ethic and effective multi-tasking and time management skills
