Job Title: Middle School Teacher

Job Summary:

EQA Schools is seeking a dedicated and experienced Middle School Teacher to join our team. As a Middle School Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic growth and social development for our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Development and Instruction: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the Louisiana State Standards and LEAP2025 exams.
  • Differentiated Instruction: Collaborate with colleagues to provide differentiated instruction and support for students with varying learning needs.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Develop and implement rigorous assessments to measure student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to improve teaching practices and stay current with best practices in education.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 3+ years of teaching experience, preferably in an alternative or at-risk student setting.
  • Certification: Louisiana Teacher Special Education Certification preferred but not required.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Passion: Passion for improving educational opportunities for urban students and commitment to EQA's mission and values.
