Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform system commissioning using advanced configuration and commissioning tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls issues.
  • Respond to warranty calls and provide exceptional customer service to resolve building inefficiencies and service-related items.

Key Skills

  • Load system-level controller software and perform basic commissioning and system diagnostics.
  • Keep management and stakeholders informed of job progress and issues.
  • Calibrate systems requiring electronic test equipment and complete administrative tasks.
  • Document changes and provide information for as-built documentation.
  • Communicate with customers and stakeholders upon arrival and before leaving the work site.
  • Follow all safety standards and attend required safety training.

Requirements

  • Vocational School or Associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or similar field, plus three years of industry experience or one year experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.
  • Knowledge of HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation, and servicing techniques.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to represent the company to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner.
  • Ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people and lead the activities of Mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical Building Automation equipment on a job site.
  • PC experience and the ability to program HVAC-related software.
