Role Summary
The Cinema Operations Director will report to the Chief Operating Officer and will be responsible for overseeing the management, budgeting, workforce planning, and performance of our cinema operations staff and facilities across multiple venues. This role prioritizes exceptional customer experiences and aims to cultivate a positive workplace culture to enhance employee recruitment and retention.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning and Management:
Develop and implement the overall strategy and annual plan for cinema operations to ensure outstanding visitor experiences. - Budget Management:
Oversee the annual budget for cinema operations, managing income and expenses effectively. - Performance Monitoring:
Establish key performance indicators for cinema operations and utilize data to drive continuous improvement. - Facilities Management:
Ensure proactive and responsive management of facilities to maintain the long-term integrity of our properties.
People Management:
Provide effective leadership to the cinema management and technical operations teams, ensuring proper hiring, training, and performance management of staff.
Community Engagement:
Represent cinema operations at internal and external meetings, collaborating with various teams to achieve shared goals and enhance community relations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business management, film, or arts operations.
- A minimum of seven years of supervisory experience.
- Proven experience in budget development and financial forecasting.
- Strong communication skills and experience in team leadership.
Physical Demands:
The role requires effective communication, prolonged periods of sitting, and computer usage for daily tasks.
