Job Summary

The Sales and Service Representative is a key member of the 24 Hour Fitness team, responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving sales growth. This role requires a strong focus on customer service, sales, and teamwork to create a welcoming and engaging environment for members and guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Member Engagement
    • Provide friendly greetings and check-ins to members, ensuring a prompt and attentive service
    • Maintain relationships with members, serving as a resource for their questions and concerns
    • Resolve member concerns in a timely and professional manner, escalating issues as needed
    • Conduct regular team cleans and identify equipment and amenities in need of service
  • Guest Experience and New Member Onboarding
    • Generate quality guest visits and assist with enrollment as needed
    • Help guests become comfortable in the club, offering tours and discussing amenities
    • Inspire guests to achieve their personal fitness goals, presenting 24 Hour Fitness in a way that resonates with them
    • Remove barriers and misconceptions about free and fee-based fitness services
    • Ensure new members are set up for success by meeting with a Personal Trainer
  • Retail Merchandising and Other In-Club Promotions
    • Sell retail products and generate additional club revenue
    • Maintain a proficient knowledge base of current retail products
    • Ensure proper retail merchandising and planogram standards
    • Encourage members to refer guests to try the club
    • Offer in-club promotions, including Personal Training and Add-On Memberships

Requirements

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • Strong customer service skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Basic computer skills
  • Minimum Educational Level/Certifications
    • High School diploma or General Educational Development (G.E.D.)
    • CPR and AED certification from an approved organization
  • Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications
    • 6-12 months of customer service experience
    • Prior overnight shift experience preferred
    • Basic computer skills

Physical Demands/Environmental Conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for up to 8 hours and must talk and hear. The employee occasionally sits, walks, kneels, and reaches with hands and arms. Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 45 lbs.

Travel Requirement

Some travel may be required to attend meetings and trainings.

Compensation Summary

All employees receive a free club membership, employee assistance program, basic group life and AD&D insurance, and 401(k) savings and investment plan. Employees working an average of 30 hours or more per week receive medical, dental, and vision benefits, paid time off, and sickness benefits.
