Director of Environmental, Health & Safety

Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned leader to join our team as the Director of Environmental, Health & Safety. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive EH&S strategy that aligns with our company's vision and goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a forward-thinking EH&S strategy that drives cultural change and improves operational effectiveness.
  • Lead and manage a team of safety and environmental professionals to ensure regulatory compliance and foster a culture of environmental responsibility.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align safety objectives with business goals and drive strategic discussions.
  • Oversee and manage compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations concerning hazardous materials, environmental standards, and safety protocols.
  • Develop and manage sustainability programs focused on waste minimization, energy reduction, and environmental stewardship.
  • Provide leadership development, coaching, and training to the safety and environmental team to foster an environment of continuous learning and professional growth.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Sciences/Management, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of broad-based progressive safety and environmental experience, with a strong focus on regulatory affairs.
  • Proven ability to drive cultural change around environmental engagement and safety culture.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across businesses and functions.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to articulate a course of action to cross-functional audiences.
