The Village of Ashwaubenon is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Community Service Officer to join our Public Safety Department. As a Community Service Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the department's efforts to maintain public safety and order in our community.
Key Responsibilities- Enforce parking ordinances and direct traffic to ensure a safe and orderly environment.
- Respond to minor assistance calls and crash reports, providing support to the public and emergency services.
- Perform community service functions, including applicant and sex offender fingerprinting, and animal control duties.
- Assist with evidence collection and maintenance, and provide general support to the Public Safety Department.
- May perform firefighting and EMS duties if certified, with the department maintaining EMS licenses and providing continuing medical education.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen, at least 18 years of age, and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to read and write the English language, and possess good moral character and temperate habits.
- Must be enrolled in a degree program for Police Science, Firefighting, Emergency Medical Services, or a related field.
- Must pass a background investigation, medical and vision examination, and drug screen.
- Selected applicants will participate in an oral interview, background investigation, medical and vision examination, and drug screen.
- The Director of Public Safety or the Police & Fire Commission may require additional tests.
