Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Medical Director to oversee our psychiatric clinical programs in Washington. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines, conducting evaluations and assessments, and developing care plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Psychiatric Evaluations and Assessments: Determine the appropriate treatment plan for each patient, taking into account their medical history, symptoms, and treatment goals.
  • Provide Medication Management Services: Evaluate medication effectiveness, prescribe medication, and adjust dosages as necessary to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain Accurate Medical Records: Keep up-to-date and accurate medical records for each patient, including progress notes, treatment plans, and diagnosis codes.
  • Provide Clinical Oversight: Review medical documentation created by other mental health professionals and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams: Work with therapists, psychologists, and social workers to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Participate in Treatment Team Meetings: Share patient updates and coordinate care with other team members.
  • Stay Current with Best Practices: Attend training and continuing education programs to stay up-to-date on the latest research and developments in psychiatry.

We serve patients in Boise, Caldwell, and Coeur d'Alene.

Requirements
  • Completion of a residency training program in psychiatry and two years of post-residency experience as a psychiatrist in a psychiatric facility.
  • M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Licensure as a physician in the applicable state.
  • Licensed by the applicable State Board of Pharmacy in good standing to prescribe controlled substances.
  • Possession of a valid state driver's license may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of general medicine and psychiatry, including current developments in the field.
  • Ability to diagnose and treat severely and persistently mentally ill patients.
  • Ability to analyze situations and adopt an effective course of action.
  • Ability to prepare records and reports.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Ability to maintain objectivity and confidentiality.
