POSITION SUMMARY: The Outpatient Program Director plays a crucial role in supporting the Market VP and leadership team in overseeing a multidisciplinary team for outpatient Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP). This role involves effective communication with support staff, treatment teams, and external agencies regarding client treatment and safety.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage daily operations of the outpatient program, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with leadership to achieve clinical and business objectives while enhancing patient care quality.
- Assess staff competencies and foster professional development, guiding staff towards achieving both short-term and long-term goals.
- Develop and review evidence-based curricula for client education alongside the clinical team.
- Oversee client treatment assignments and ensure appropriate clinical training is provided to enhance team skills.
- Conduct risk assessments for clients and ensure thorough follow-up.
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, maintain treatment planning, and ensure compliance with documentation standards.
- Ensure staff adherence to Northpoint guidelines, protocols, and policies.
- Encourage problem-solving among clinical staff and delegate tasks as necessary.
- Review clinical documentation regularly and provide necessary approvals.
- Maintain professional relationships with staff and clients while upholding boundaries.
- Coordinate clinical staff schedules and manage holiday coverage.
- Oversee communication with external entities, including probation officers and healthcare providers.
- Promote a positive work environment to enhance employee engagement.
- Comply with all company policies and maintain confidentiality in accordance with established standards.
- Perform additional clinically relevant tasks and special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Active substance use and/or mental health licensure in the applicable state.
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience in mental health.
- At least two years in a leadership or administrative role.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse populations.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain professional boundaries and rapport with clients.
- Excellent clinical judgment and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Strong critical thinking and organizational skills.
- Experience in mentoring and coaching a diverse team.
- Exceptional communication skills for interfacing with various stakeholders.
- Ability to analyze complex information and resolve issues effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct oversight of clinical, medical, administrative, and support staff.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position requires frequent desk work with extensive computer use. The environment includes an outpatient treatment facility, with exposure to clients experiencing emotional distress.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Completion of required screenings and training as part of the onboarding process.
- Demonstrated computer literacy and compliance with all relevant policies.
