Security and Safety Coordinator

Core Responsibility: Ensuring the safety and security of residents, property, assets, guests, visitors, and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in effective and sincere communication with guests, team members, and various departments.
- Exhibit a friendly and compassionate demeanor consistently in a dynamic environment.
- Uphold a professional appearance in accordance with company standards at all times.
- Conduct regular patrols and inspections of designated areas, including public spaces, meeting rooms, entrances, and surrounding grounds; monitor for unauthorized individuals or vehicles, unsecured doors, and potential safety hazards.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on incidents involving theft, injury, property damage, or any breaches of security protocols.
- Investigate safety or security occurrences involving hotel guests or staff as directed by the Director of Security and Loss Prevention; oversee the security camera system and collaborate with local law enforcement when necessary.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, assess the situation's nature and severity, and take appropriate action, including summoning external assistance when required; facilitate emergency medical care for guests and employees.
- Manage key control for the entire property.
- Inspect alarm systems, safety equipment, and closely monitor the security of building access points, service areas, and delivery zones.
- Address all guest inquiries, issues, and complaints in a courteous, efficient, and attentive manner.
- Handle challenging situations and conflicts professionally, engaging with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Respond swiftly to guest requests in a friendly yet professional manner, ensuring follow-up to achieve guest satisfaction that aligns with our service standards.
- Accompany staff and guests to their vehicles upon request.
- Conduct random inspections of employee bags and packages.
- Oversee the lost and found operations for the resort.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Reporting To: Director of Security and Loss Prevention
Minimum Qualifications:
Certification in First Aid, CPR, and First Responder is required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment. A high school diploma or GED is mandatory. A background in law enforcement, security, or military service is preferred. CPR/First Aid certification for children and infants is necessary. Proficiency in computer applications such as Word and Excel is essential. Ability to comprehend, draft, and execute documents such as safety regulations, policy manuals, incident reports, and medical reports is required. Must be capable of following instructions in written, oral, or diagrammatic form. Strong common sense and the ability to address guest and team member needs are crucial. Excellent communication skills with a keen attention to detail are required. This is a safety-sensitive position.
