Job Summary

This is a critical role that requires a strong leader who can oversee daily clinical and operational activities, manage staff, and ensure high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Management
    • Develop and implement center initiatives to promote and improve the patient and family experience
    • Oversee scheduling and daily flow of patients in acute care, rehab, day hospital, and outpatient venues
    • Develop and monitor appropriate staffing processes to ensure timely access to rehab services
    • Manage staffing in response to census and patient acuity
  • Fiscal Management
    • Work with the Director to complete operating and capital budgets
    • Monitor monthly financial reports and identify variances
    • Work with the Director to set staff productivity expectations and implement service delivery model changes
  • Staff Development and Mentoring
    • Work with supervisors to recruit, coach, and develop qualified staff
    • Ensure staff meets all minimum regulatory requirements
    • Create an environment that fosters teamwork, cooperation, respect, and diversity
  • Quality and Patient Safety
    • Incorporate patient safety into all aspects of family-centered patient care and coordination
    • Monitor quality assurance on a regular basis
    • Ensure compliance with all center and hospital policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • Master's Degree Preferred
  • At least five (5) years of progressive management experience in a healthcare system
  • Experience in a leadership role in a rehabilitation setting, preferably an academic medical center
Skills and Abilities
  • High level of analytical skill to work independently to identify and plan for the resolution of problems
  • Fundamental research skills, including a general understanding of research methodology, design, and statistics
Licenses and Certifications
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
