Position Overview


The Casino Cage Cashier at Wynn Resorts is tasked with managing transactions involving chips, tickets, cash, and checks within the casino cage.

Key responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy of bank drawers in the Cage/Credit area, maintaining confidentiality of transactions, and supporting various cash handling operations.

The Cage Cashier is also responsible for issuing and cashing wagering tickets, ensuring that all necessary materials are available for guests.

Additionally, the role involves assisting with slot machine ticket redemptions and other financial transactions.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Uphold the core values and standards of Wynn Resorts.
  • Contribute to departmental goals and monitor operational effectiveness.
  • Ensure accuracy and confidentiality in all transactions and record-keeping.
  • Comply with internal policies and legal regulations.
  • Deliver exceptional service to all guests.
  • Stay informed about departmental updates and best practices.
  • Accurately balance assigned bank drawers.
  • Process cash transactions for guests efficiently and courteously.
  • Handle personal and travelers' checks, as well as foreign currency exchanges.
  • Assist with marker buy-back transactions, ensuring quality service.
  • Perform various cash handling functions as required.
  • Maintain accurate balance sheets and documentation.
  • Prioritize safety and adhere to company safety standards.
  • Engage in ongoing training and professional development.
  • Complete other job-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Age and Licensing:

Must be at least 21 years old and obtain a Gaming Level license from the appropriate regulatory authority.

Education and Experience:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous experience in a casino or cash handling environment is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is advantageous.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, along with keen attention to detail, are essential.

Language Proficiency:
Ability to read and interpret documents, respond to inquiries, and communicate effectively in English is required.

Mathematical Skills:
Capability to perform basic mathematical calculations and maintain accurate reports.

Physical Requirements:


The physical demands of this position include regular communication, standing, walking, and handling various objects.

Employees must be able to lift or maneuver at least fifty (50) pounds and perform tasks that require moderate physical activity.


Work Environment:


The work environment is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring adaptability and a commitment to safety.
