Position Summary:

The Poker Floor Supervisor plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional guest service within the poker section. This position entails acting as a host and cashier for poker patrons, addressing guest inquiries, and fostering an environment that encourages poker play. The primary focus is to ensure a superior guest experience through outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Uphold all core values and ensure adherence to property and departmental standards.
  • Engage in the implementation of departmental goals and policies, assessing operational effectiveness and initiating necessary improvements.
  • Contribute to departmental performance by maintaining accuracy and confidentiality in all procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable laws within the department.
  • Deliver and sustain high levels of service at all times.
  • Facilitate effective communication and share best practices across the organization.
  • Stay updated on all departmental developments.
  • Manage multiple tasks efficiently while meeting deadlines, even in high-pressure situations.
  • Welcome and greet guests as they enter the poker area.
  • Maintain a change bank to assist guests with transactions.
  • Promote excellent guest service by demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of games, events, and promotions.
  • Monitor the floor closely to identify any irregularities in gameplay or procedures.
  • Assist guests by coordinating with customer service and other departments.
  • Prioritize safety and adhere to departmental and company safety protocols.
  • Enhance industry knowledge through ongoing education and training.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Required to obtain and maintain a license from the Massachusetts Gaming Commission.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory; experience in hospitality or gaming is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with keen attention to detail; a minimum of 2 years of experience in a poker room as a dealer or in a dual-rate position is necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is advantageous.
  • Willingness to work beyond standard hours as needed.
  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively.
  • A positive attitude and a willingness to learn new processes and concepts.
Language and Communication Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as manuals and procedures. Must be able to respond to inquiries from guests and staff effectively. Conversational English proficiency is required.

Mathematical and Reasoning Skills:

Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and maintain reports as needed.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires regular communication, standing, walking, and the ability to lift or maneuver at least fifty (50) pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision and depth perception.

Work Environment:

The work environment is typically moderate in noise level, increasing to loud in certain areas. Team members must be adaptable to varying schedules based on business needs.
