POSITION OVERVIEW

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) plays a vital role in assisting customers of The Cavco Family of Companies with resolving issues related to their homes, while also supporting retailers in enhancing their delivery and service capabilities. This position reports directly to the Customer Service Manager and focuses on addressing warranty concerns for customers and facilitating improved service from retailers. The CSR represents the company through effective communication, primarily via telephone, to assist customers and retailers alike.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducts various administrative tasks to effectively resolve service-related issues for customers within designated areas, identifying the necessary services, defining the scope of repairs, and coordinating resources to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Authorizes retailers, service technicians, and contractors to carry out service work on homes, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Follows up on repairs for both customers and retailers to guarantee timely and accurate service completion.
  • Maintains precise and up-to-date records for customers and retailers using industry-specific software to meet departmental goals.
  • Ensures accurate coding within systems to uphold data integrity.
  • Regularly updates unit files as required to comply with departmental standards.
  • Responds promptly to incoming service inquiries, whether by phone or electronically, to provide resolutions and closure for customers.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by management or leadership.
  • Exhibits a strong work ethic grounded in honesty and integrity.
Qualifications Required:
  • 1-3 years of experience in a customer service capacity.
  • Experience in the housing sector is preferred but not mandatory.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent educational background.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong prioritization and self-management skills.
  • Effective planning and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and general computer skills.
