We are currently seeking a skilled Mold Setter to join our team. This role involves executing machine setups for both primary and secondary equipment, whether scheduled or unscheduled. This is a direct hire opportunity with competitive compensation.
Compensation: The hourly pay for this position ranges from $22 to $24, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Mold Setters are tasked with various aspects of die setting, including:
- Executing mold changes in presses efficiently and safely, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Performing a full rotation of duties, with the flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
- Changing molds between production runs or sample requirements, ensuring all processes are conducted in a neat and organized manner.
- Inspecting and maintaining waterlines, replacing any damaged components prior to use.
- Cleaning and lubricating molds post-setup to ensure optimal performance.
- Transferring molds to designated storage or repair areas after removal from the press.
- Assisting in the training of new team members or acting as a backup for other die setters.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following:
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
- A commitment to safety and adherence to lockout/tagout training.
- The physical capability to lift up to 45 pounds from the floor to a height of approximately 4 feet.
- A willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends as required.
- An understanding of material handling and hopper loader systems.
