Job Overview

At Boeing, we are seeking a highly skilled Electromagnetic Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our E3 Design Integration Team, you will play a critical role in supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and validate requirements for various electromagnetic systems and components, including communication, sensor, and electronic warfare systems.
  • Design and implement electromagnetic solutions to meet system performance requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with design integration requirements.
  • Perform trade studies, modeling, and simulation to predict component and system performance.
  • Develop and conduct tests to validate performance of designs.
  • Manage supplier and partner performance to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Provide engineering support to products throughout their life cycle.
  • Support project management by providing work statements, budgets, and schedules.
  • Write proposals to support development of new business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in electromagnetic design, analysis, or testing.
  • Experience with relevant aircraft electromagnetic standards, such as MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-464.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related field.
  • Experience with written and verbal communication and leading projects.
  • Experience working within an engineering organization.
  • Experience with lightning testing and analysis.
