Assistant Professor of Agricultural Economics and Behavioral Science

The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a highly qualified individual for a tenure-track position in Agricultural Economics. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a nationally and internationally recognized research program focused on behavioral economics as applied to food and health.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research and publish papers in top-tier academic journals
- Teach three courses per year in the Agribusiness Management undergraduate major and Energy, Environmental, and Food Economics graduate program
- Mentor graduate students and provide guidance on research projects
- Secure external funding for research projects
- Ph.D. in applied or general economics, or related field
- Experience in research and competing for grants on agricultural economics topics preferred
- Excellent quantitative and communication skills
- Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams
- Ability to engage professionally with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students
