Assistant Professor, Water Resources Engineering

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our team as a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Water Resources Engineering. The successful candidate will have a strong background in water resources engineering and a demonstrated ability to conduct innovative research and extension programs.
Responsibilities- Develop and lead a nationally and internationally recognized research-extension program related to water resources engineering and water quality solutions.
- Mentor students in globally diverse, multicultural, transdisciplinary and inclusive research-extension programs.
- Develop strong research and extension collaborations across campus, Pennsylvania, and the region.
- Coordinate the development of a nationally recognized, externally funded research program.
- Develop programming and resources as part of Penn State Extension activities that will obtain quantifiable impacts.
- Ph.D. in biological, agricultural, civil, or environmental engineering, or a related engineering field.
- Research experience integrating engineering, biology, and natural resources.
- Ability to communicate effectively, to provide creative leadership, and to work cooperatively with students, faculty, staff, and industry and agency groups.
