Position Overview

This role is essential in ensuring a secure, pristine, and enjoyable atmosphere for all visitors. You will be tasked with diligently monitoring water attractions, pools, and deck activities to uphold guest safety by enforcing park regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively prevent injuries and mitigate hazards.
  • Effectively recognize and respond to emergency situations.
  • Safely operate all relevant equipment in accordance with established protocols.
  • Administer CPR and First Aid as necessary.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of pool areas and decks.
  • Provide information that enhances guest satisfaction.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures, including safety inspections.
  • Communicate efficiently with the Assistant Guest Engagement Manager and fellow team members to foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Certifications: Lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid. Training will be provided by Holiday Inn Club Vacations.

Demonstrated ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Must successfully complete a pre-employment swim test, which includes safely entering the water and swimming a minimum of 10 yards.

Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with guests and colleagues.

Contribute positively to team efforts aimed at achieving departmental and organizational objectives.

Fulfill reasonable requests from management within the scope of your capabilities.

Exhibit a genuine commitment to delivering exceptional service to owners and guests.

Maintain a professional appearance and a friendly demeanor.

Demonstrate sound judgment and decision-making abilities.

Ability to work independently.

Maintain current CPR/First Aid and Lifeguard certifications.

Education:

Preferred: GED or High School Diploma.

Experience:

Licenses & Certifications:

Preferred: CPR, First Aid, AED.
