Job Summary:

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for operating washing and drying equipment, loading and unloading laundry from machines, and maintaining a clean and organized laundry area. This role requires strong communication skills, a flexible schedule, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate washing and drying equipment to ensure efficient and effective laundry processing.
  • Load and unload laundry from machines, maintaining a clean and organized laundry area.
  • Monitor feeder information on washers and report any irregularities to the immediate supervisor.
  • Set the proper drying and cooling times for different types of linen.
  • Clean up machines and surrounding areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a laundry or related field is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate in English and work effectively with guests and colleagues.
  • Self-starting personality with an even disposition and a professional appearance at all times.
  • Ability to lift, bend, stoop, push, or pull heavy loads and stand for long periods of time.
  • Working knowledge of laundry chemicals and their effects on different types of linen.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively.

  • Work Habits: Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to hotel standards for work procedures, dress, grooming, punctuality, and attendance.
