Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist PRN to join our team at St. David's Surgical Hospital. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for coordinating services and activities specific to the Imaging area. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring efficient patient throughput and effective utilization of equipment and human resources.

Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures, including ER, surgical, fluoroscopic, and portable radiographs.
  • Select and operate radiography equipment, imaging, and/or associated accessories to successfully perform procedures.
  • Select appropriate protocols to obtain desired results.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
  • Document information seen during exams and relay relevant patient information to physicians.
  • Follow hospital guidelines regarding radiation protection and apply principles of radiation safety to minimize risk to patients, self, and others.
  • Provide optimum patient care during exams.
  • Operate computer systems related to job assignment and department operations.
  • Participate in call rotation as needed.
Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in Radiology or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an educational program in radiology accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) or a military training program of equivalent standards.
  • Licensed as a Medical Radiologic Technologist with the Texas Medical Board (TMB).
  • Registered Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
