The Movement Innovation Collaborative (MIC) is a pioneering entity that aims to amplify and expand the capacity, impact, and sustainability of California's grassroots movements for racial justice and social transformation. Our mission is to support changemakers and organizations in catalyzing innovations in movement strategy and power building, intergenerational leadership development, and collective long-term sustainability and resiliency.

Job Description:

The MS&I Program Strategy Director will play a critical role in leading this program and contributing to the development of MIC's overall approach to strategy and innovation. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategy for the MS&I program that focuses on the big questions facing the power building ecosystem and the innovation and strategy required to build the power we need.

  • Developing and overseeing experiments in building movement infrastructure and ensuring they are evaluated and analyzed for movement learning and growth
  • Reviewing and leveraging the findings from the pilot phase to inform the strategic direction of the MS&I program
  • Cultivating networks and deepening relationships with practitioners, subject-matter experts, researchers, and capacity builders
Responsibilities:

This role will also be responsible for holding MIC's overall approach to fostering innovation, learning, and breakthrough experimentation, innovation on approaches to power building, and supporting all programs in advancing experimentation, innovation, and learning.

  • Supporting the development of MIC's overall approach to strategy and innovation
  • Working in close collaboration with other MIC leadership to ensure alignment, cross-fertilization, and shared programming across all program strategies, particularly in strategy and innovation

Benefits:
