Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our team at HMB Professional Engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Serve as key project manager for statewide transportation programs, including INDOT and local public agency projects.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and oversee the work of multi-discipline design teams, ensuring projects are completed within budget and milestone dates, while maintaining profitability.
  • Business Development: Collaborate with existing staff to achieve business growth, quality of work product, client satisfaction, and project profitability goals and objectives within the Indiana market.
  • Client Relations: Routinely interface with clients, project stakeholders, and sub-consultants for coordinated project/program delivery.
  • Proposal Preparation: Prepare business development proposals, contract negotiations, and meeting presentations.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and enforce compliance with quality control standards.
  • Strategic Planning: Participate in the development of annual and strategic plans.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform additional responsibilities as required, assigned, or apparent by business needs.
Requirements
  • Education: BS or MS in Civil, Structural, or related engineering discipline.
  • Licensure: Indiana PE or ability to obtain license within 6 months.
  • Experience: 10+ years of project design and management experience, with project management experience in transportation and/or transit projects.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and financial management experience, familiarity with Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) administrative processes/policies/practices and design standards, or willingness to prioritize familiarization in short order.
  • Additional Requirements: Willingness to work on projects and acquire licensure in multiple states.
