Flyfish Club, an exclusive members club in the heart of New York City's Lower East Side, is seeking a seasoned and creative Sushi Chef to join its culinary team.

As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for crafting exceptional sushi dishes that exceed our guests' expectations. Your expertise will shine on our Maki station, where you will create intricate rolls that showcase your artistry and creativity.

We are looking for someone with multiple years of experience rolling various styles of maki rolls and a deep understanding of fish cuts and butchery. Your knife skills should be sharp, and your attention to detail impeccable.

Your role will involve:

  • Executing all dishes to perfection, working efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Training junior team members on fish cutting, filleting, and sushi preparation techniques
  • Maintaining high standards of sanitation, organization, and work detail
  • Cutting fish, slicing sashimi, and preparing nigiri with speed, accuracy, and consistency

We offer a competitive hourly salary range of $23-$26, depending on experience. You will also enjoy benefits such as health insurance, commuter benefits, and dining discounts.
