Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Cybersecurity Instructor to join our team at Remington College. This role is pivotal in shaping the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Development: Create comprehensive lesson plans that incorporate modern teaching methods, including multimedia resources and adult learning principles.

Infrastructure Security Instruction: Teach students about critical infrastructure security topics, including:

  • Identifying vulnerabilities
  • Wireless security protocols
  • Conducting risk assessments
  • Intrusion detection techniques
  • Business continuity strategies
  • Disaster recovery planning
  • Firewall architecture fundamentals
  • Cryptography basics

Student Engagement: Instruct and evaluate students, fostering their skills and encouraging personal and professional growth. Maintain accurate records of attendance, performance, and grades.

Cyber Threat Education: Inform students about various cyber threats, such as:

  • Malware
  • Phishing attacks
  • Social engineering tactics
  • Hacking methodologies

Guide students in recognizing phishing attempts, which often appear as misleading emails, text messages, or websites.

Administrative Duties:
  • Participate in faculty and staff meetings.
  • Engage in graduation ceremonies as required.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development activities.
  • Complete additional duties or special projects as assigned.
  • Conduct penetration testing (Pen Testing) as part of the curriculum.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of an associate degree in cybersecurity or a related field is required.
  • At least 4 years of relevant practical experience in the cybersecurity domain.
