Job Title: Registered Nurse - Infection Control Specialist

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as an Infection Control Specialist. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality patient care and safety.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse - Infection Control Specialist will be responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care, as well as coordinating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure evidence-based, compassionate care to patients and families. This includes:

  • Providing education and support to patients and families on infection control practices
  • Coordinating with the infectious diseases team to ensure timely and effective treatment
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and outcomes
Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing, with a focus on infection control and prevention. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing direct patient care, including administering medications and performing procedures as needed
  • Coordinating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and outcomes
Requirements:

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you will need to have:

  • A current RN license in Massachusetts
  • At least one year of recent clinical nursing experience in a primary care or public health setting
  • Experience with patient telephone triage and coordination of care
Preferred Qualifications:

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Experience working in an ambulatory infectious disease setting
  • Proficiency in EPIC electronic health records
  • Fluency in Spanish
