Perioperative Registered Nurse Opportunity

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Perioperative Registered Nurse to join our team in Somerville, Massachusetts.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in our Perioperative department. As a Perioperative Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing patient care plans, as well as collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, developing individualized care plans to meet their unique requirements.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care, ensuring effective communication and seamless transitions.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and other interventions as prescribed by physicians, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, responding promptly to changes or concerns, and escalating issues as necessary.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices, technologies, and evidence-based care.

Requirements:

  • Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse licensure.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and maintain accurate records.
