Position Overview

The Sales and Support Coordinator plays a crucial role in qualifying prospects and overseeing the Event Technology Sales process for a diverse range of events, particularly focusing on those generating less than $5K in revenue.

This position aims to provide an exceptional customer experience, enhance operational efficiencies, and optimize revenue from each opportunity.

The Sales and Support Coordinator will also engage in general sales activities and support tasks, including lead management, order processing, opportunity tracking, and customer follow-up.

This role is situated within a collaborative team environment and reports to the Regional Sales Director of Customer Support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage lead import and distribution for venue complexes, conducting research as necessary to identify the correct ownership of leads.
  • Directly sell smaller events, including Banquet Event Orders (BEO), exhibitors, affiliate business, and In-Conjunction-With (ICW) events.
  • Guide qualified leads to the EventNow eCommerce platform, enhancing the online purchasing experience for Encore customers.
  • Close sales by securing commitments while maximizing revenue and adhering to profit guidelines for all assigned business.
  • Handle customer inquiries through various channels, including phone, online chat, and email, ensuring effective communication and follow-up.
  • Utilize Encore tools and technology to respond promptly to customer requests.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in the CRM system.
  • Facilitate effective communication with aligned venue leadership teams.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or a minimum of 1 year of experience in sales or event management.
  • Previous experience in technology, sales, hospitality, or event planning is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency with software and computer applications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for effectively soliciting and closing business.
