Job Role

AECOM is on the lookout for a Senior Water Resources Engineering Specialist to be based in Sacramento, California, focusing on a diverse range of water resource initiatives, including but not limited to dams, reservoirs, levees, canals, tunnels, pipelines, flood mitigation systems, and conveyance infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and provide technical guidance for medium to large-scale projects.
  • Develop and maintain strong technical relationships with clients while playing a significant role in business development.
  • Lead departmental initiatives to enhance technical capabilities.
  • Contribute specialized technical insights to studies and designs relevant to your area of expertise.
  • Review and approve project work.
  • Serve as a leader in one or more technological domains.
  • Prepare estimates for engineering budgets and schedules to fulfill requirements on complex projects.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 10+ years of related experience or equivalent education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 20+ years of pertinent civil/geotechnical engineering experience.
  • Experience in civil/geotechnical design for water resource projects.
  • Proven project management experience.
  • Active California PE License or the ability to obtain it within 6 months.
  • Active Geotechnical GE License or the ability to obtain it within 6 months.
