These efforts are crucial for the Division of Flood Management's (DFM) comprehensive risk assessment and mapping activities across the Central Valley and statewide.
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Engineer will:
- Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals, including engineers, geologists, and environmental scientists, to enhance flood management strategies.
- Provide expert technical guidance in the development of floodplain risk information management systems.
- Engage with various stakeholders, including local emergency managers and floodplain planners, to ensure effective communication and implementation of flood risk mitigation measures.
Qualifications
Candidates must possess a valid California driver's license and hold a license to practice Civil Engineering in California. This position requires a commitment to excellence and collaboration in a dynamic work environment.
