Position Overview
A typical day as a Senior Property Claims Adjuster entails:
As a Senior Property Claims Adjuster, your primary focus will be on delivering outstanding service to our policyholders. You will be responsible for visiting clients' residences to perform thorough inspections, assess coverage, generate estimates, and resolve claims efficiently. Furthermore, you will manage virtual claims nationwide, utilizing various tools and software such as Xactimate and ClaimsX Video Collaboration. Your specialization will be in handling water damage claims, ensuring our clients receive unparalleled support and resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service Champion: You will embody Allstate's Claims Culture by demonstrating care, empowerment, and restoration, approaching each claim with compassion and clarity.
- Claims Investigator: You will independently conduct detailed investigations of property claims, analyzing damage and interpreting policies to ascertain coverage.
- Effective Communicator: You will engage with clients through various communication channels, guiding them through a streamlined claims process while accommodating their preferred methods of communication.
- Negotiation Expert: You will assess and negotiate settlements with clients, vendors, and third parties, adhering to legal and business standards while employing effective negotiation strategies.
- Problem Solver: You will leverage a variety of tools to navigate a dynamic work environment, utilizing estimate tools and job aids while applying critical thinking skills.
- Documentation Specialist: You will safeguard the company's interests by adhering to policy agreements and maintaining accurate records within the claims system.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as an outside adjuster is highly preferred.
- Experience managing claims involving multiple trades and losses exceeding $25,000.
- Proficiency in Xactimate and other relevant estimating software is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and technical skills to accurately assess damages and expedite claims resolutions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver superior customer service.
- Ability to travel to clients' locations and effectively manage virtual claims.
- Detail-oriented and organized, committed to producing high-quality work.
- Residency within the specified location is required for this position.
- Capability to carry a 50-pound ladder and access roofs with a pitch of up to 6/12.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel as part of job responsibilities.
Training and Development:

Licensing Requirements:
- As a condition of employment, you may be required to obtain an adjuster and/or appraiser license, which includes passing a background check.
- If necessary, the Hiring Manager will assist you in obtaining the required licenses.
