POSITION SUMMARY:

This role is accountable for delivering senior engineering expertise to a manufacturing line. The primary emphasis will be on overseeing, regulating, and enhancing current manufacturing processes to meet both customer and business requirements. The ideal candidate will be an innovative thinker with a strong commitment to operational excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitate the successful launch and commercialization of a new manufacturing line.
  • Provide technical operational support for existing applications and processes.
  • Employ effective lean process design strategies to enhance overall manufacturing system performance through innovative solutions that align with the value stream.
  • Plan, coordinate, and lead the technical aspects of large-scale projects to successful completion.
  • Develop training materials, documentation, and standard operating procedures for production processes to ensure consistent manufacturability.
  • Identify sources of process variation using scientific methods and recommend corrective actions.
  • Drive corrective actions through root cause analysis and structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Ensure quality is built into processes by utilizing DMAIC tools: process mapping, process capability analysis, C&E Matrix, fishbone diagrams, FMEA, MSA, DOE, and control plans.
  • Assess ergonomic conditions within the manufacturing environment and propose practical solutions to mitigate ergonomic risks.
  • Persuasively advocate for continuous improvement initiatives to value stream management and delivery partners.
  • Mentor junior engineers, interns, and team members.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent engineering experience.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience preferred, with a strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of project planning methodologies and experience working with collaborative cross-functional teams.
  • Effective communication skills in written, verbal, listening, and presentation formats.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
