Position Summary

This role in quality assurance will support the manufacturing line for gliding windows at our new facility. The position involves assisting in the qualification of manufacturing equipment, gaining essential product and process knowledge to support the production line once operational. Key focus areas include enhancing quality, ensuring customer satisfaction, providing project support, and maintaining product compliance with specifications and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance of products manufactured on assigned lines with established quality standards and manage quality metrics.
  • Facilitate cross-functional team meetings, kaizen events, and value stream mapping sessions for the designated manufacturing lines.
  • Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards to develop manufacturing control plans and work instructions.
  • Create and execute process validation plans, collecting and analyzing data using statistical methods and software to identify trends and issues.
  • Make informed decisions in a dynamic manufacturing environment and implement corrective actions through root cause analysis and structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Propose and advocate for continuous improvement initiatives that reduce costs and enhance efficiency across the supply chain.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in operations, supply chain, quality, logistics, engineering, and other departments to uphold quality standards.
Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or continuous process environment.
  • Familiarity with measurement tools and systems.
  • Experience in interpreting blueprints and technical documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of PFMEA, SPC, process capability, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Experience with methodologies such as PDCA, A3, DOE, 5-Why, Fish Bone Diagram, Lean Sigma, and DMAIC.
  • Understanding of document control, product and process qualification, and auditing processes.
