We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Benefit Programs Supervisor to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative and programmatic supervision to staff
- Review case management plans to ensure quality assurance of case management services
- Develop written guidelines for the delivery of case management services
- Assign caseloads to staff and coordinate and monitor their activities
- Hold individual and group conferences to review cases and problems
- Review case records and evaluate the performance of staff members, recommending indicated action
- Represent staff needs to senior management and prepare and implement internal operating policies and procedures
- Interpret regulations, policies, and other program information changes to staff and train new employees in areas such as agency policy, department procedures, and agency or government regulations
- Determine staffing needs and make recommendations to management
- Maintain records and prepare regular and special reports
- Participate in developing and implementing agency administrative policy
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, sociology, psychology, or a closely related field
- Minimum of four years of related, full-time equivalent experience
- Extensive knowledge of the Families and Children Medicaid, Aged Blind and Disabled Medicaid (ABD), and SNAP programs
- Experience using the Rushmore Monitoring system, monitoring SNAP Apptrack, and experience with the TANF program
- Five to seven years of current Virginia Benefit Programs supervision
- Two years of experience with VaCMS and direct customer service experience
Employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies. Emergency operations support work and work locations may be outside of normal job duties.
