Responsibilities and Qualifications
We are seeking a talented Platform Software Engineer to join our team in Austin, TX. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology platforms that power our next-generation robotic systems. The estimated salary for this position is $155,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.

As a Platform Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and reliable platform software solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define architecture, requirements, and integration points for platform components. Your expertise will be essential in implementing robust APIs, services, and frameworks to facilitate seamless communication between hardware and software components.

To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, and 6+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on developing platform-level software systems. You should be proficient in Python, C, and C++, and have experience with container orchestration technologies (Kubernetes, Docker). Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and API design principles is also required. Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) is a plus.
