MLex US, Inc. is on the lookout for a seasoned journalist to take on the role of Senior Intellectual Property Reporter. This position requires a commitment to working onsite five days a week in either our San Francisco or Washington, DC office.
The selected candidate will be responsible for reporting on the intricacies of intellectual property regulations, legislative developments, and enforcement actions, with a particular emphasis on the United States Patent and Trademark Office and federal judicial proceedings.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The perfect fit for this role will possess a background in covering congressional activities, the federal court system, and relevant state or federal agencies. A collaborative spirit and a passion for working alongside fellow reporters are essential.
In this dynamic role, you will have the opportunity to break significant news stories related to patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to craft comprehensive articles that delve into the implications of legislative, regulatory, and judicial developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Producing clear and well-structured news articles and analyses
- Researching and organizing pertinent information from public records and other resources
- Drafting concise summaries that highlight critical information from documents

Qualifications
- Proven experience in covering intellectual property or related fields
