Job Overview

Carrie Rikon & Associates, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Mid-Level Patent Litigation Associate to join our Intellectual Property and Technology Practice Group in Washington, D.C.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patent litigation, PTAB/IPR proceedings, and a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a similar field.

Responsibilities will include engaging in patent litigation and PTAB/IPR proceedings, utilizing strong drafting and analytical skills to contribute to the enforcement and defense of patent rights, leading and mentoring junior associates, and contributing to a culture of learning, mentorship, and professional growth within a supportive and inclusive environment.

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $260,000 to $365,000, commensurate with experience, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three years of experience in PTAB/IPR, patent litigation in district court, and/or ITC proceedings.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a similar field.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytic skills.
  • The ability to manage and mentor more junior associates.
  • Strong management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and creatively, as well as part of a team.
  • Must be currently licensed, or eligible to become licensed, to practice law in the jurisdiction(s) of application.
