Job Summary

Pasco-Hernando State College is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach Computer Aided Drafting courses. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality instruction to students, as well as maintaining accurate records and adhering to college policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Instruction: Provide varied and relevant instruction designed to meet the educational needs of assigned students in accordance with the College's policies, procedures, and approved curricula.
  • Student Support: Respond to the special needs and reasonable accommodations of students with disabilities, and interact with the Director of Disabilities Services to ensure that reasonable accommodations are appropriately provided.
  • Course Management: Provide students with a course syllabus, which will minimally include the requirements listed in the Syllabus Template, and submit copies to the appropriate Academic Dean.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Maintain and submit accurate grade rosters and class attendance records to appropriate College personnel within established College deadlines, and assess student progress and post student grades.
  • Professional Development: Participate in programs and/or activities that enhance professional development, and adhere to College and departmental policies.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in Industrial Management or a Master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the qualifying fields.
  • Qualifying Fields: Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Drafting, Industrial Arts, Industrial Management, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer-Integrated Manufacturing, Electronics Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Advanced organizational skills, ability to communicate effectively with a variety of students, ability to establish and maintain working relationships with all stakeholders, and ability to maintain detailed student records.
