Join Our Team as a Human Factors and Usability Engineering Intern

We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in human factors and usability engineering at Stryker, a global leader in medical technology.

About the Role

As a Human Factors and Usability Engineering Intern, you will contribute to the design and development of products offered by Stryker Emergency Care. You will work as part of a cross-functional product design and development team to champion the perspectives of our users and help design products that are intuitive, safe, and effective to use.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, execute, and present results of usability testing
  • Provide design recommendations to product teams that are backed by usability data and best practices
  • Conduct usability analyses and leverage anthropometric and human performance data to inform the design of products
  • Collaborate with interaction design, industrial design, engineering, and marketing teams
  • Contribute to the creation of usability engineering documents
Requirements
  • Currently working on completion of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field or equivalent
  • Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require employment-based sponsorship now or in the future
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and proven leadership and business acumen skills
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
