Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and motivated intern to join our team as a Human Factors and Usability Engineering Intern. As a member of our cross-functional product design and development teams, you will contribute to the design and development of products offered by Stryker Emergency Care. Your primary roles and responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, execute, and present results of usability testing
  • Provide design recommendations to product teams that are backed by usability data and best practices
  • Conduct usability analyses and leverage anthropometric and human performance data to inform the design of products
  • Collaborate with interaction design, industrial design, engineering, and marketing teams
  • Contribute to the creation of usability engineering documents
Requirements
  • Currently working on completion of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field or equivalent
  • Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and not require employment-based sponsorship now or in the future
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and proven leadership and business acumen skills
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
  • Proficient on basic computer programs: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
What We Offer

We offer a competitive hourly wage of $19-$33, depending on the hiring location. You will also have the opportunity to work with a global leader in medical technologies and contribute to the development of innovative products that improve patient outcomes. Additionally, you will have access to our corporate housing or living stipend, depending on the hiring location.
