We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Estimator to join our team at Jobot. As a Mechanical Estimator, you will play a crucial role in preparing detailed and accurate labor, materials, and equipment takeoffs for various construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed and accurate labor, materials, and equipment takeoffs for projects.
  • Complete detailed cost estimates for projects, including small and large-scale projects.
  • Collaborate with construction managers, engineers, vendors, and personnel from other departments to discuss and formulate estimates.
  • Build and maintain customer and vendor relationships.
  • Review documents to develop a clear and detailed understanding of project scope.
  • Work closely with our operations team to relay key project scope information during proposal review meetings and at project turnovers.
  • Solicit subcontractor and vendor pricing and ensure scope inclusion.
  • Assist in the maintenance of bid documents, including plans, specs, RFI, addenda, quotes, and proposals.
  • Procure best pricing for subs and vendors, review quotes for accuracy and compliance with bid documents.
  • Identify project risks and opportunities and bring them to the team for review.
  • Comfortably attend and participate in scope review meetings with clients to answer any questions.
Requirements
  • Strong technical background in mechanical, plumbing, and/or fire protection systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel), Autobid Mechanical, and Bid Tracer.
  • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills and able to follow through on tasks.
  • Works well under pressure in a rapidly changing environment.
  • A commitment to learning and following key safety protocols on site.
