Fire Protection Specialist

At Selectek, we are seeking a skilled Fire Protection Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in sprinkler design and calculations, with a strong background in mechanical, plumbing, and/or fire protection systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing layouts of fire sprinkler systems, including coordination with other MEP trades, and performing hydraulic calculations and stock listing. They will also attend virtual and project coordination meetings, perform field surveys and hydrant flow tests, and provide occasional support to the estimating department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design layouts of fire sprinkler systems

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in sprinkler design and calculations
  • Strong background in mechanical, plumbing, and/or fire protection systems
  • Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • NICET certification a plus
  • Knowledge of NFPA standards
  • AutoSPRINK experience a plus
