Universal Banker

This role may be ideal for you if you possess experience in:

  • Customer Service
  • Sales
  • Account Management

Position Overview:

As a Universal Banker, you will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive array of services to our clients, which includes:

  • Processing customer transactions
  • Opening and closing accounts
  • Addressing inquiries
  • Assisting colleagues and supervisors with daily branch operations

In this role, you will frequently alternate between working as a Teller and assisting customers at the Platform. You will engage with clients to identify their needs and articulate our products and services, aiming to transform service opportunities into sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by anticipating and responding to client needs.
  • Accurately and efficiently process transactions; balance cash drawers and comply with established cash handling policies.
  • Meet with clients to discuss their financial needs; open or modify accounts to meet those needs and nurture customer relationships.
  • Investigate customer inquiries and facilitate problem resolution to maintain strong client relationships.
  • Encourage new business, cross-sell company products and services, and actively participate in our referral program.
  • Adhere to all relevant Federal, State, and local consumer protection laws.
  • Follow security protocols and identify counterfeit currency and instruments.
  • Provide training and support to colleagues and clients as necessary.
  • Act in the absence of the Branch Manager when required.

Qualifications for Success:

In addition to your professional experience and enthusiasm for the role, you will benefit from:

  • Education: An Associate's Degree or equivalent experience is required.
  • Experience: 4-6 years of customer service experience is essential; experience in a financial institution is preferred.
  • Certifications: Ability to obtain NMLS certification and Signature Guarantee certification.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and team members.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities; capable of working independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook; familiarity with banking software is a plus.
  • Solid sales experience and knowledge of banking and insurance products.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods and walk or stand briefly.
  • Capability to repetitively use a telephone and computer equipment.
  • Ability to lift or move up to 15 lbs.

Additional Information:

  • Willingness to travel to various branches as necessary.
  • Availability to work a rotating Saturday schedule.

Salary: The compensation for this position is $22.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and education. Additional compensation may be available through incentive programs based on individual and company performance.
