About the Role

Elevate Patient Financial Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Patient Advocate to join our team. As a Patient Advocate, you will play a critical role in connecting uninsured hospital patients to programs that will cover their medical expenses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Screen uninsured hospital patients to determine eligibility for federal, state, and/or county medical or disability assistance.
  • Complete and submit applications for Medicaid and other government programs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service skills and maintain accurate and timely documentation in applicable Company programs and hospital systems.
  • Participate in ongoing trainings to stay up-to-date on changing rules and regulations associated with government programs.
  • Collaborate with hospital staff, case managers, social workers, and financial counselors to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Assist patients with gathering necessary reports and records, and arrange transportation as needed.
  • Communicate with patients and government agencies to inform them of approval or denial of coverage.
Requirements
  • Some college coursework preferred.
  • Prior hospital or medical office experience is an advantage.
  • Adaptability when dealing with constantly changing processes, computer systems, and government programs.
  • Professional experience working with state and federal programs.
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to multitask and function in a fast-paced environment.
