Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Maintenance Engineer is to ensure that all guest rooms and service areas are maintained to the highest standards. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks across multiple trades, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, air conditioning, painting, and masonry. The goal is to maintain an attractive and well-functioning hotel environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and service zones to identify and address maintenance needs, including replacing light bulbs, repairing plumbing fixtures, and performing general repairs.
  • Utilize basic hand and power tools effectively and safely while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and inspections in English.

Additional Duties:

Regular attendance is crucial for the successful execution of this role. Employees may be required to work flexible schedules based on the hotel's operational needs. Compliance with all company rules and regulations is mandatory for the safe and efficient operation of the hotel.

Qualifications:

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Experience in maintenance trades is essential, with at least one year of experience in a hotel environment being advantageous.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficient knowledge of maintenance trades, including basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working at heights.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
