Job Description
The Sustaining Engineering Specialist will support ongoing and new product innovation initiatives, assist in prototype assembly, assessment, and validation.
This role will ensure that product specifications and quality benchmarks are fulfilled and will evaluate how effectively the product addresses customer requirements in terms of performance and user experience.
The Sustaining Engineering Specialist will manage change orders and revise existing documentation, rather than initiating designs from the ground up.Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience.
- Experience in design and development within the manufacturing sector (internship experience is applicable).
- Proficiency in product design and development methodologies, including familiarity with tools such as FEA, Risk Assessment, DFMA, SUS, and GD&T.
- Experience in creating machined prototypes.
Employment Type
This is a permanent role.
Work Environment
The work setting is indoors within a controlled climate manufacturing facility. The noise level may range from moderate to loud. Regular use of personal protective equipment is necessary to mitigate exposure to hazardous materials. Frequent use of protective attire is required.
