KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Engagement

  • Coordinate daily deliveries and fleet management for the assigned area within a direct store delivery framework.
  • Supervise driver personnel with an emphasis on safety, regulatory adherence, and achieving delivery efficiency while meeting customer service expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with proof of delivery protocols established by clients and the company.
  • Conduct daily route reconciliations.
  • Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Manage challenging customer interactions with professionalism.
  • Communicate and implement planned promotional activities effectively.
  • Utilize order management systems to communicate product needs, adjusting for factors such as weather and demand.
  • Audit accounts for product assortment, inventory quality, and gather feedback on driver performance from store staff.

Staff Management

  • Perform formal and informal evaluations of RSR performance, focusing on safety, customer service, and operational efficiency.
  • Set clear goals and identify strengths and areas for improvement.
  • Develop actionable plans to achieve set objectives.
  • Maintain a schedule for performance assessments through ride-alongs.
  • Monitor daily route progress and verify returns against settlement sheets.
  • Ensure adequate staffing for daily operations and fulfill duties of any vacant positions as necessary.

Training and Development

  • Instruct RSRs on the use of handheld technology.
  • Coach RSRs on accurately processing customer orders.
  • Guide RSRs in conducting inventory reconciliations for specific customers.
  • Train RSRs on professional customer interactions.
  • Instruct RSRs on maintaining cleanliness and proper product placement in-store.
  • Educate drivers on product quality standards and the removal of outdated items.

Safety and Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to all safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Train drivers on safe driving techniques and vehicle upkeep.
  • Utilize inspection forms for routine vehicle maintenance checks.
  • Report maintenance issues to management.
  • Thoroughly investigate and document any vehicle incidents or employee injuries.

Leadership and Teamwork

  • Promote a culture of teamwork among staff.
  • Maintain a courteous and respectful demeanor with both employees and customers.
  • Collaborate with management to enhance performance and implement new strategies.
  • Exercise sound judgment while operating company vehicles.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS

  • Willingness to travel up to 10% for training or coverage.
  • Prior experience in route sales or delivery is preferred.
