Position Overview:
The Logistics Team Leader is tasked with overseeing the daily operations of the Route Service Representative (RSR) team at their designated location.

This role encompasses various responsibilities, including training, staffing, and the daily management of RSR personnel. Essential skills for success in this position include leadership, coaching, problem-solving, and a strong commitment to teamwork. A professional appearance, enthusiasm, and a customer-centric attitude are also crucial.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:
- Manage daily dispatch of deliveries and fleet operations within a direct store delivery network.
- Assign and supervise driver personnel, emphasizing safety and regulatory compliance while striving to meet or exceed customer service expectations.

- Ensure adherence to proof of delivery procedures established by clients and/or the company.
- Conduct daily route reconciliations and address customer complaints or inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

- Communicate product needs effectively, utilizing the order management system to manage fluctuations due to various factors.

Supervision:
- Conduct formal and informal performance evaluations for RSRs, focusing on safety, customer service, and efficiency.
- Set clear goals, identify strengths and opportunities, and develop action plans to address them.

- Maintain a schedule for 'ride-alongs' to assess driver performance and monitor route progress daily.

- Ensure adequate staffing for daily operations and fulfill duties of any open positions as necessary.

Training:
- Instruct RSRs on the use of handheld devices and proper order completion.
- Coach RSRs on inventory reconciliation and professional customer interactions.

- Train RSRs on maintaining cleanliness and proper product placement in-store displays.

- Educate drivers on product quality and the removal of outdated items.

Safety and Sanitation:
- Ensure compliance with all safety and sanitation standards.
- Train drivers on safe driving practices and vehicle maintenance.

- Utilize the Vehicle Inspection and Damage Report Form for routine checks and report maintenance concerns promptly.

Leadership:
- Foster a collaborative team environment with colleagues.
- Maintain a courteous demeanor with both employees and customers.

- Collaborate with management to enhance performance and implement new initiatives.

- Exercise sound judgment while operating company vehicles.

Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Office Suite).
- Ability to supervise and mentor drivers effectively.
- Basic math skills and the ability to read and write.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and adherence to driving standards.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Previous experience in route sales or delivery preferred.
