Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting project design, bid cycle, construction project management, and project closeout
  • Estimating, scheduling, and designing heating and cooling systems, including calculation of heat loads and equipment sizing studies
  • Preparing diagrams, sketches, construction drawings, cost estimates, bid documents, and construction administration
  • Meeting with internal customers, developing continuous improvement projects, and coordinating studies and project management
  • Interface and coordinate projects with internal and external resources, including information technology, safety, security, internal construction trade workers, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience in building mechanical engineering
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of building mechanical systems, including boilers, refrigeration, cooling skids, chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, fan coil units, variable air volume systems, compressed air systems, nitrogen, and liquid nitrogen systems
  • Familiarity with building electrical systems and general understanding of building construction and civil works
  • Coordinate mechanical designs with other building design disciplines, including architectural, electrical, structural, civil, IT, and security
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with construction project management, including customer scoping meetings, budget monitoring, establishing and updating schedules, contractor coordination, commissioning, and close-out
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience writing clear technical engineering specifications, reports, and operating procedures
  • Working knowledge of ASHRAE, SMCNA, and State Building Codes
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with AutoCad, REVIT, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project Scheduler
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in facilities engineering
  • Experience with design and construction project management
  • Experience with manufacturing facilities
  • Experience in building automation systems (BAS) and control systems, including Siemens, Johnson Controls, and Schneider Electric
